Shale producer Pioneer Natural Resources is consolidating its leading
position in the Permian Basin through another major acquisition.
On the up
LNG deliveries are reported to have risen by the most in a year in March,
with shipments from the US to both Asia and Europe on the up.
Another acquisition
Canada’s Whitecap Resources has struck a deal to acquire Kicking Horse Oil
& Gas for CAD300mn ($238mn) in cash and shares.

Occidental Petroleum’s CEO has stated her opposition to the idea of a US
carbon tax, though it is supported by other oil companies.
