Social Responsibility
The main goal in this department works towards bettering the school community. Social Responsibility
organizes events that bring awareness to certain topics, celebrates cultural diversity and involves as many
people as possible. We had many opportunities to put our work in at campaigns such as, cancer
awareness, recycling and volunteer work. One of the main initiatives that was highlighted by the school
this year was “Manners Maketh Man”. As the Social Responsibility department encourages cooperation
among students and to strive for more, our team enjoyed working with this campaign. The opportunity to
be in a department that spreads awareness, educates students about topics that people don’t necessarily
divulge in, and brings forward a sense of community between all members of this school is what makes
our experience in the SLO worthwhile.
