Outreach
After a long, two year disturbance caused by COVID-19, the outreach department was eager to come back
and work for our senior year. Our department played an essential role in school this year, in uencing all
students from KG-1 up until our 2022 graduates. Our team was exceptionally focused on making our
school more comfortable to welcome students back from online learning alongside newly enrolled
students. The outreach team aimed to help students discover and explore their empathetic side and
encouraged them to make their community a happier and more enjoyable community.
In the beginning of the year, the brights and delights of all classes in the secondary were assigned to hand
out birthday cards to their classmates. This does not only construct a sense of responsibility within the
student, but also creates a sense of belonging and tightens the friendship bond between students in each
classroom. Later on throughout the year, we collaborated with the Emirates Red Crescent and set up a
food drive that would donate long lasting food to less fortunate families and communities across the
middle eastern region. Our primary aim was to help students become more empathetic towards the less
fortunate and to enforce the beautiful idea of giving. We continued to spread positivity throughout the
year by working with the wellness department to set up compliment boards in the corridors of our school.
Working as the federal heads of the outreach department in the SLO helped us pick up many skills and
gave us the opportunity to work alongside such incredible and motivating personalities. Being apart of
such a positive community truly pushed us to evolve and become the best version of ourselves and
motivated us to aim and make our academic year as memorable as possible. All the work that we have
accomplished could not have been possible without our outreach heads in the secondary. Being in our
senior year, the outreach team has removed a lot of weight o of our shoulders by helping us with all of
our campaigns and events.
Finally, we’d like to give a special thank
you to the incredible Ms. Fatima and
Mr. Halim for guiding us and
motivating us the whole year. It was MALAK BO HASSON
a privilege to work alongside such
a driven pair who had positive
approaches to every setback
and made working in the SLO
more enjoyable for us
students. Thank you for
standing by us through
every event and campaign
we planned and pushed
through, you have truly
made this year a
remarkable one for the
outreach department.
