Academic

As a student in ISC-DXB, one of the most unique and rewarding experiences has been participating in the
SLO. Its distinctive focus on the holistic growth of its students has helped mold a con dent, creative, and
committed student body. The collaborative atmosphere has fueled students to explore di erent avenues,
brainstorm ideas, lead projects, be active members of a team, and ultimately discover what they are
passionate about. As the Co-heads of Academics, we are grateful to have been given the platform to
motivate students to climb the ladder of success. Academics play a huge role in every aspect of the school
which is what makes it the backbone of a student’s life - be it in high school or university. Through the
academics department, we have been able to host mock exams for externals thus giving students the
opportunity to realize their weak points and drill on them until they are capable of achieving their desired
scores. In addition to that, we’ve also organized orientation sessions for incoming new students to
introduce them to the SABIS curriculum in order to prevent them from facing any hurdles academically.
Furthermore, to broaden the students’ practical aptitude on topics ranging from STEM to general
knowledge and bring awareness to underappreciated issues, we have hosted trivia events.

Throughout this year, we’ve been able to forge a community of like-minded individuals from which we
both shared knowledge and learned as well. Being in such an uplifting environment where ideas are
encouraged and further implemented has allowed us to grow both individually and as a team. Under the
guidance and expertise of Mr. Halim, Mrs. Noha, and Ms. Fatima, numerous projects have come to fruition
which we are extremely thankful for. We are tremendously delighted to be part of the incredible SLO
team of 2022 and we extend our best wishes to those who come after.
