What is a Hazard?
▪ Any circumstance or condition that poses the risk of an
incident resulting in injury. A hazard is not an incident,
nor is it an injury. A hazard may or may not result in an
incident.
▪ Hazards, such as unsafe working conditions, unsafe
employee work habits, improper use of equipment or use
of malfunctioning equipment all have the potential to
cause work related injuries.
