               Prerequisite: Recommendation by an English teacher

               Yearbook provides an opportunity for
               students to produce an annual publication
               while recording the school’s history in
               photographs and writing. Students will
               experience all aspects of producing a
               yearbook with particular focus on yearbook
               journalism, theme development, layout and
               design, photographic composition, and
               meeting deadlines.  Students will develop
               their creativity, and problem solving
               capabilities to collaboratively create a
               tangible product with the yearbook staff.

               Students are required to attend school
               functions outside the regular school day in
               order to photograph and cover the events of
               the school year.  Students are also required to
               sell advertisements to community businesses
               and organizations during the first quarter of
               the school year.  Inability to fulfill these
               requirements will result in removal from the
               course.
               Students  may  use  this  credit  as  either  a
               technology or elective credit.
