Yearbook provides an opportunity for
students to produce an annual publication
while recording the school’s history in
photographs and writing. Students will
experience all aspects of producing a
yearbook with particular focus on yearbook
journalism, theme development, layout and
design, photographic composition, and
meeting deadlines. Students will develop
their creativity, and problem solving
capabilities to collaboratively create a
tangible product with the yearbook staff.
Students are required to attend school
functions outside the regular school day in
order to photograph and cover the events of
the school year. Students are also required to
sell advertisements to community businesses
and organizations during the first quarter of
the school year. Inability to fulfill these
requirements will result in removal from the
course.
Students may use this credit as either a
technology or elective credit.
