NEWSCampusMinistry   Students, Faculty & Alumni Serve on Annual Mission Trip Seventeen Padua students, faculty and alumni served on an annual mission trip to Higuey, Dominican Republic, including Principal David Stec ’86, Campus Ministry Director Matt Harley, and Fr. Bob Stec ’79. For several years Padua has partnered with Mission Possible, an outreach efort of Te FEST and Saint Ambrose Parish. Te mission trip’s goal is to develop a new, self-sufcient community in the Dominican Republic that is focused on faith, values, education, and healthier living conditions.Seniors Serve at Bishop’s Installation Mass Seniors Grace Harley ’18 & Marie Pinzone ’18 served at Bishop Nelson Perez’s installation Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Cleveland on September 5. Bishop Perez was selected in July by Pope Francis to lead the Diocese of Cleveland, which is home to nearly 700,000 Catholics.The FEST Te Padua community, students, faculty, and alumni participated in Te FEST on August 6, 2017. Te FEST is a one-day family FESTival sponsored by the Diocese of Cleveland. Fr. Bob Stec ’79 was the creator of the event more than 10 years ago. Tis year, several members of the Padua Community volunteered at the various event areas during the day. Many students, faculty, and alumni were involved with Te FEST Mass, including Grace Harley ’18 as the cross bearer, Joseph Falconi ’19 as a reader, and Matthew Harley, Sr., Director of Campus Ministry, as a Eucharistic Minister. Clare Harley ’19, Cherrymae Aromas ’91 and Mary Harley ’92 participated in the choir. Math teacher Deacon Tom Litwinowicz assisted Bishop Roger Gries, OSB at the Mass. Several parents were involved too, including Nancy Monnin and Sherri Ricciardi, who coordinated the lay Eucharistic Ministers. 30
