Nothing
Lost. I hide within my own thoughts. Slowly, sinking, wasting, nothing. There is no return now.
My presence in the world is only a spark, My mind strands behind the norm.
One step forward, I fall.
I hit the ground, hard.
There is no return now.
Run, leap, jump, my arms outstretched, Looking for a grip yet my arms never move, Pressed against my aching sides.
There is no return now.
Clouds form in the air as the smoke clouds
My vision and no longer do I have sight of reality. It fills my lungs, it seeps into every crack
Until it burns every gasp.
There is no return now.
I hear familiararities, almost as if soothing honey Was poured down my throat,
Yet the voices cannot break
The soundless barrier of murky nothing.
I’ll never be reased from my prison. There is no return now.
