What is this sensation? Itchy, sharp, and tingly. My body feels so drained and exhausted. What happened? The last thing I remember was walking into someone’s office. Who’s office? For what reason? None of that matters right now. I have to find out what’s happening right now, in the present. I try to open my eyes, but an immediate stinging pain runs through my eyelids. I want to rub my eyes but my hands won’t move. I realize I’m lying down. I’m in a state of exhaustion more than I’ve ever felt. My stomach rumbles. I’m starving. My stomach is so empty and the salty smell in the air is not helping. Salt? What could be salty? I take a deep breath to catch the scent in the air. It’s like seafood. No, the ocean. That’s what this sensation is; sand. I listen closely and hear waves crashing on the shore. I must be at a beach. But, how? Why? What am I doing here? I search my memory for the last thing that happened in that office. Nothing. How am I supposed to get food? I’m so hungry, I can’t even move. I take a deep breath, just like the last. You must think of an idea. Just calm down. Oceans waves are quite a calming sound. I’ll be sure to think of an idea if I just listen to the noises of the sea... right?
