I see prisoners kept in a cage tightly locked with a key yet me a free girl feel just as trapped as those confined to a cage Yet even
then I watch them one day set
free there spirit sent to the wind
but each time I try to fly away I fall
like Icarus to the sea where my soul
rests along with my hopes of freedom.
so now I wait at my window
Watching and waiting for with time comes the realization that we are all prisoners of our own guilt and regrets but whether
we take the key is a true test of character.
