HemoVac Drain
A HemoVac drain works like a Jackson Pratt Drain and provides negative pressure for suction of
body fluids. The HemoVac has a device at the end that is compressed to provide suction. The
device has an internal spring that slowly expands to create the negative pressure. The HemoVac
drain is sutured in place at the time of the surgery.
