Incontinence Associated Dermatitis Prevention



                              Avoid use of diapers on all immobile patients except for those with incontinence who are being
                                transported

                              Use only recommended incontinence pads under patients

                              Avoid layers of linen under patient

                              Should be checked and changed frequently; at least every two hour




















                  Proper Positioning

                       Reposition patients in bed every 2 hours

                       Reposition patient in chair every hour

                       Repositioning is required even with specialty beds


                       Use Geomatt when sitting in chair
