What does the Bible say?

1. The Bible is totally silent about such a doctrine. This entire doctrine is without any
Biblical support. Rather, in Hebrews 1:3 the Bible says…

3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by
the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the
Majesty on high, (no location about Holy Place or Holy of Holies).

And in Hebrews 8:1 the Bible says…

1 Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at
the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

The Holy of Holies on earth was a room separate from the Holy Place, separated by a veil. This
symbolized the separation sin brings between God and man. When Christ was crucified on the cross,
the veil of the temple was ripped in two, demonstrating that sin had been dealt with and through
Christ’s sacrifice. There was no longer a separation between God and man. Man could have his sins
removed from him!

Such is not the case in heaven. There is no reason, nor indication from the Bible, that God is seated in
the Holy of Holies in heaven. Any place where God is seated makes that place the holiest place in the
universe!

According to SDA doctrine, Christ is judging Christians from the holiest room and cleansing the heavenly
temple with HIS BLOOD until He gets through all the believers’ names and the purification process will
be over. Then the Day of Atonement will be complete, and He can return to earth for judgment.

Hebrews 1:13 But to which of the angels has He ever said,

The second message, according to SDA theology, is essentially this: The Roman Catholic Church and the
Protestant churches have fallen into the power of Satan. The great city where the Vatican is sitting has
made the whole world worship on Sunday. It persecuted the true believers throughout the centuries.
