B. Zephaniah 3: 9-10 says, “For at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure
               speech,
                                                                                          10
that all of them may call upon the name of the LORD and serve him with one accord. From beyond the
rivers of Cush my worshipers, the daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering. This verse
says that His people shall return from Ethiopia and bring the Lord’s offering along with the Hebrew
               language.

               C. Jeremiah 3:16-17 says, And when you have multiplied and been fruitful in the land, in those
days, declares the LORD, they shall no more say, “The ark of the covenant of the LORD.” It shall not come
                                                                          17
to mind or be remembered or missed; it shall not be made again. At that time Jerusalem shall be called
the throne of the LORD, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the LORD in Jerusalem, and
they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart.

This verse about the millennial kingdom. It teaches us that once the millennial kingdom has
commenced, Israel will stop talking about the ark, stop thinking about the ark, and stop visiting the ark.
The reason is that the Ark of the Covenant will no longer be as important as King Jesus, whom they will
worship. This prophecy does not make sense unless the lost Ark is rediscovered and that it plays a
pivotal role in the spiritual life of the nation.

The Condition of Mankind before the Revelation of End Time events…

2 Timothy 3: 1-7 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers
of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3.
Unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous,
reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although
they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into
households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always
learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

               Prophecy:

The “last days” represents the time period between the ascension of Christ and His second coming or
the “Church Age.” According to commentator Warren Wiersbe, “the NT indicates that ‘the last days’
refers particularly to the state of the church before the coming of Christ. These shall be “perilous” times,
that is, “difficult, hard to deal with.” This is the same word used in Matt. 8:28 to describe the
                                                xiii
Gadarene demoniac. Because people will believe the “doctrines of demons” (1 Tim. 4:1ff), this world will
become a “demonic graveyard” just as in Gadara. We are in those days now!

Twenty-two characteristics will describe the condition of mankind toward the end of the “last days” of
               the Church age. They are:

               "lovers of their own selves"

We now teach our children in school that it is very important to have a positive self-image. We are not
to do anything to a student which might curb his “self-expression.” We are raising a generation of kids
               that are totally into themselves.
