Problem with Profanity. Perhaps not surprisingly, profanity seems to divide people by age and by
gender. ... More women than men said they encounter people swearing more now than 20 years ago —
75 percent, compared to 60 percent. Also, more women said they were bothered by profanity — 74
percent at least some of the time — than men (60 percent.) Women and children are now often heard
emitting expletives without any shame or regard for others. If you watch television, profanity is heard
almost constantly in every program or movie.
"without natural affection" cf. Romans 1: 26-27 26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful
lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also
abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed
indecent acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Everyday Christians are prosecuted because they refuse to bake a cake or take photographs of two men
or women getting married. Over the last 20 years, homosexual sin had increased significantly in the
world and the LGBQT influence in the political and cultural arena has grown stronger.

Violence in America is on the Rise. The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests children watch no
more than two hours of television a day (Neifert 52). Even in that recommended time frame, they will
have witnessed 8,000 murders (Donahue 25) and more than 100,000 other acts of violence by the time
they finish elementary school (Diamant 40). On television, perpetrators go unpunished in 73% of all
violent scenes and only 4% of violent programs emphasize an anti-violent theme (MediaScope 1). By
seeing so many acts of violence, children become desensitized.
