God calls every believer to share his faith, the Gospel, with others. The Gospel is good news! It is the
way of salvation to everyone who believes. But the Gospel is only good news to those who hear it. It
must be told. We must take the Gospel to every person on earth who has not heard the name of Jesus.
We must also share His name with those that we work with; to the neighbors across the street and
down the way; to the people in our city, then travel to other places to share with those who have not
               heard.

“Having gone” means we are busy going. We make an effort daily and take every opportunity to make
sure lost people hear what Jesus Christ has done for them. “Having gone” is the motivation behind the
               great commission!

How to share your faith with the lost.

There are a variety of ways and a host of Scriptures that you can use to share the Gospel with a lost
person. You will find that each approach will have to be tailored to the needs or questions of the person
to whom you are presenting. However, for the event next Saturday, we want to share with you a basic
outline which can be followed which will explain to the recipients of our food boxes why we have
prepared these boxes for them and our motivation for giving them to them.

               Basic Ingredients of the Gospel
For a person to become born again, there are some very basic facts they must understand in order to
accept Christ as their Savior and Lord. 1) A lost person must understand he is a lost sinner whose sin is
an offense to the Creator. 2) He must understand that a blood sacrifice was essential for sin to be
atoned for. 3) He must understand that God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ offered Himself up as
a permanent sacrifice and payment for all men’s sins. 4) Finally, he must be willing, by faith, to turn
from his sin and surrender his heart and life to Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He must be willing to
receive God’s gift of salvation packaged in love.

Think of your presentation as flowing like this:

                                    Sin  Sacrifice  Savior  Surrender

Begin by introducing yourself and tell them you are thrilled to be able to give them a special gift from
God. “You will be receiving a box of food and supplies, but soon that box will be empty, and the
contents gone. Before giving you the box, I want to share with you a gift you can receive that will last
forever. And we find out about this gift in the Bible, God’s book.”

                   1. (SIN) The first book in the Bible is Genesis. It tells us all about the beginning of all things. God
is the Creator and Lord over all. He created Adam and Eve to have fellowship with Him. He
asked them to simply obey Him. When they disobeyed in the Garden, they rebelled against His
command to not eat of a specific tree. When they disobeyed, sin entered the world. Sin is
disobedience against God. According to Romans 5:12, “Therefore, just as sin entered the world
through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all
sinned. Ask them if they have ever sinned against God. If they say NO, then stop and give
them their food. If they say yes, then continue…..

                   2. (SIN) The consequence of sin is death. Everyone has died since Adam. Romans 6:23a says, “For
the wages of sin is death….” As soon as Adam sinned, he was cast out of the Garden and lost
