P. 4

1 Timothy 1.

Our goal is not to get through the Pastoral Epistles. Our goal is to get the Pastoral Epistles through us
                – and then to share what we learn with others.

2 Timothy 2. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many
witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

The Apostle Paul wrote 13 letters in the New Testament.

Romans. 1 and 2 Corinthians. Galatians. Ephesians. Philippians. Colossians. 1 and 2 Thessalonians. 1
                and 2 Timothy. Titus. Philemon.

Ten of the 13 were written to churches. Three were written to pastors. 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus
were written to pastors – which is why we call these three letters the Pastoral Epistles.
