accomplish a task. Creative design requires intelligence on the part of the creator—His mechanical
devise is a testimony of his intelligence, skills, and resourcefulness.

The more complex a devise and the more information it takes to create it, the firmer our conclusion
must be! This had to be made by some intelligence!

1. Two characteristics signal our minds that someone of intelligence designed and created the
observed object. What are they?

2. Write out the complete biochemistry of vision:

3. Is the eye an extraordinary and complex organ in our body? Is it improbable that
something this complex could have happened by chance?

4. Does the complexity of the eye match specific patterns in other areas of science? (sodium pumps,
chains of complex enzymes activating or deactivating other chemicals, etc.)

5. We can conclude, as we did with Mt. Rushmore, that the eye was created by a designer of
tremendous intelligence?

19.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…

You just studied how the eye was created to produce sight. Amazing, isn’t it. All those
chemicals were created in balanced harmony and placed in the eye to enable us to see. Not
only that, but all the structures of the eye, the lens, the clear cornea, the rods and cones, etc.,
all had to be created to work in sympathy. Evolutions claim that the eye evolved over
millions of years BY CHANCE. Isn’t that absurd? The Bible calls such thinking foolish.
