P. 66

First, our savior gives to us the weight of His own authority: “I say unto you”. Even if a doctrine is
surrounded by ten thousand difficulties, the fact that the Lord Jesus said it sweeps them all away, so far
as true Christians are concerned. Our Master’s declaration is all the argument we need. “I say unto you”
is our logic. Reason, we see you at your best in Jesus, for He is made wisdom to us by God (I Cor. 1:30).
He cannot lie; He cannot err; If He says, “I say unto You,” there is the end of all debate. The one who
promised to answer prayer is God Himself.

Nevertheless, difficulties arise in our minds because we see our vileness. Once again, He says, I say unto
you, Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
The text clearly asserts that all forms of true prayer will be heard, provided they are presented through
Jesus Christ and are for promised blessings. If you seek, you will find, if you knock, it will be opened. In
each case, “according to your faith (will it be) unto you”. (Matthew 9:29)

John 16:24 Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name, ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be
full. Up to this time people had not ask in the authority of His name. Now as believers in Christ a new
authority has been given unto us. Please remember my previous comments about His will when using
His authority but it is ours to claim. Resulting in a joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God. Probably the best way to comment on this
verse is to remind you of something I have already said; if the size of your vision is not intimidating to
you then there is a good chance it is insulting to God. Dream God-worthy dreams. Pray faith-fueled
prayers. Live a life that can be explained only by the existence of a God who is infinitely great. If a
problem is too big for you, it’s just the right size for God.

Mark 9:23 Everything is possible for him who believes. If this is true, then why are you living in the
survival mode? God seems to be saying in this verse that He will burn brightly in the life of anyone
willing to be set on fire. Begin by a simple act of obedience to pray, and watch God move you to the
               extraordinary.

2 Corinthians 9:8 God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all
you need, you will abound in every good work. Again, I want to remind you of the words of R. A. Torrey
who said, “if we would feed the fires of our prayers with the fuel of God’s word all our difficulties in
prayer would disappear”. If you are going to walk in audacious faith you will need to become good at
preaching the word to yourself. Faith plays out in total obedience which is based upon the sure word of
God. But again, I want to remind you that He gives us the very desires of our heart as we develop an
intimate love relationship with Him. Audacious faith is nothing more that the overflow of Him working in
us. It is not us speaking something into existence as we exercise our faith! It is an overflow of Him
working in our lives. There is a difference as one statement is man centered and the other theological
explanation is God centered theology. Please notice the beginning of the verse which says very clearly,
God is able! Audacious faith is not based on who you are or what you can do. Audacious faith is based
on who God is and what he’s already done.

But let me remind you about how God is able to make all grace abound to you. You cannot take in a
supply of grace for the future any more than you can eat enough for the next six months. You cannot
take sufficient air into your lungs at one time, to sustain life for a week. We must draw upon God’s
boundless storehouse of grace day by day as we need it. Yes, God has promised to sustain us by His
grace. We would die without it. But we need to learn to appropriate it moment by moment and day by
