of curses and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery,

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
God’s Word says that every single person on earth is a sinner by birth. Every person commits sin against
God because of this inherited nature.
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so
death spread to all men because all sinned—
When Adam and Eve decided to disobey God, they immediately fell from grace. They received a nature
to sin, and this nature was passed down to all their children, and their children, to every person today.
Every person today has a nature to rebel against God. It comes by being born into the human race.
The Consequence of Sin
The Bible says clearly that the result of sin leads to eternal death. The above verse declares that death
was a result of sin and that death was spread to all men, because every person sins. What was the
death that Adam received? When Adam made the conscience decision to disobey God, both He and Eve
received what God said would happen if they disobeyed.
Genesis 2:16-17 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of
17
the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you
eatof it you shall surely die.”
So when Adam ate of the fruit of the forbidden tree, he did not instantly die physically! He lived 930
years on the earth! Actually Adam experienced two deaths. Immediately, he experienced spiritual
death, which caused him to hide from the Lord God among the trees of the garden (Genesis 3:8). And

also, at that moment, God introduced into the world a new dynamic law called the 2 Law of
Thermodynamics. This law states that energy systems will always increase their entropy or disorder
rather than decrease it. It can be referred to the Law of Decay. Everything appears to change eventually
and chaos increases. Nothing stays as fresh as the day one buys it; clothing becomes faded, threadbare,
and ultimately returns to dust. Everything ages and wears out. Even death is a manifestation of this law.
The effects of the 2 Law are all around, touching everything in the universe.
nd
When sin entered the world, just as God promised, death entered the world. The 2 Law was put into
nd
motion by an act of disobedience and it affects all living creatures and systems. As we age, our bodies
become less organized and eventually complex systems begin to fail. Death is our ultimate end.
When man sinned, not only did death enter the world, but the creation was affected by sin. The Bible
says that the animals and vegetation began to die. Death entered the entire universe causing untold
heart ache.
Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth
until now.
