day and you encounter the hundreds of issues in life, have a desire to pray about everything. Then, as
the tingle gets strong, cough out the prayer to God about whatever situation you are in. It is that daily
awareness that God is able to meet any need as you walk through your day, and your communion with
Him about every aspect of daily life.
Obviously, there are many times in our daily routine that warrant prayer.
1. Pray first thing in the morning. Greet God as you wake up, asking Him to use your life for His service.
Ask him to give you opportunities in your day to share the Gospel with others. Give him you mouth,
your feet, and your hands as a living sacrifice, which is His will for you (Romans 12:1-2)
2. Pray giving in thanks for your blessings should be a part of your daily routine.
3. Pray in thanks for every meal is certainly appropriate, no matter where you are located or who you
are with. Acknowledging thankfulness for the food and drink that God has provided is basic to the
Christian life.
4. Pray throughout the day for the needs of others.
5. Pray if you are tempted to sin. God will rescue you from the temptation and make a way of escape.
6. Pray when you need direction in decisions that must be made. As you commune with God, He will
direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all
your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
7. Pray when you have your personal devotion time with God. This is a time when God speaks to you
through His Word and prayer, and you acknowledge any sin in your life and confess it. He then is
faithful to cleanse your life and continue your close walk with Him. Pray as you read His word and
receive His commandments. Pray how you can apply His Word in your life.
8. Pray when others ask for prayer. Don’t wait until later, you probably will forget. Pray for the
request when it is made. Seek to pray according to God’s will when asking for other’s needs.
Remember, “God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter
2:9). So, you can always pray for the lost person that he or she would hear the Gospel and believe.
