stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day
                                                                                                    19
and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And
there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. (ESV)

God established not only the solar day, but the week, month, and seasons of the year. The pattern for
the chronology was set in place.

               Distant Star Light Problem

Sometimes Christians are reluctant to discuss the age of the universe. The Bible states that God created
in six days, and its genealogies clearly indicate that this took place only a few thousand years ago. But
some people reason, “Hasn’t science demonstrated that it would take billions of years for the light from
the farthest galaxies to reach the earth? Doesn’t this disprove the Genesis account or force us to
               interpret the words differently?”

               Not at all.

We should also remember that God is not limited to natural methods as we are. God could have easily
made the light not only emanate from stars but He could have created the light on its path along the
               way at the same time.

``Ironically, the leading secular alternative to the Bible (the big bang) has a light-travel time problem of
its own. Known as the “horizon problem,” the big bang is unable to get light from one side of the
universe to the other within its own “billions-of-years” timeframe. To alleviate this problem, big bang
supporters must arbitrarily add another hypothesis like “inflation” (which has problems of its own).

Even if our current creation models turn out to be wrong, there is no need to be embarrassed by
distant starlight. For we rely upon the revealed Word of God as our starting point. Unlike the shifting
opinions of men, such a foundation cannot fail. It boldly declares that on Day Four “He made the stars
               also” (Genesis 1:16).

               Day5 – Genesis 1:20-23 – Day 5 Sea creatures and birds

20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth
                                               21
across the expanse of the heavens.” So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature
that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to
its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill
                                                  22
the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” And there was evening and there was
                                                                    23
               morning, the fifth day. (ESV)

"Then God said, 'Let the waters team with swarms of living creatures.'" So, He first of all
filled the waters. Now in the Hebrew this is what is called a paronomasia which is a term
describing a kind of literary device. A paronomasia is basically this, the Hebrew says, "Let
the waters..." the text says, "Let the waters swarm with swarming things." It's a repetition.
It's the same in verse 11, "Let the earth sprout vegetation," actually in the Hebrew is "Let
the earth vegetate with vegetation." And here it's, "Let the waters swarm with swarming
things, swarm with swarming living things."
