P. 65
In the past, a part of Christ’s work was to save mankind from God’s wrath against sin. It was an
outward demonstration of God’s love, mercy, and grace that God sent Jesus to die for us so that
having accepted Him as our Lord and personal Savior, God might see the satisfaction of His wrath
upon the redeemed person; Christ’s imputed righteousness on us. The work of redemption was
done by Jesus Christ in the past but has a present effect on anyone who decides to place his/her
faith in Him.
