Kalyn is one of our newest additions to the South Texas family, joining Novo Nordisk in February of this year. Kalyn was with Lilly for 4 years in the Beaumont area and lives in Lumberton. Before Lilly she was part of the insulin pump world. Her now partner Bill Fawcett was tired of battling Kalyn in the field, so he encouraged her to come over to Novo Nordisk and feel the Sema Synergy. Kalyn is a registered dietician as well as a certified diabetes educator. Her clinical knowledge and background give her the natural ability to not only meet providers where they’re at but build a true partnership with them. The number one question we had for Kalyn was, “Why leave Lilly now?” She said she gets that question a lot, and that the answer is simple, she left for the power of the Sema molecule. She said she wanted to promote the Semaglutide molecule, and that the old saying “If you can’t beat them, join them” held true for her. We asked her if it was hard to leave Lilly with their impending launch just around the corner, and Kalyn answered that Tirzepatide is not enough, and that the Semaglutide molecule is so meaningful for patients. She said that she has always believed Novo Nordisk has the best quality of science and products. Novo Nordisk was where she wanted to be. Kalyn went on to say that Novo Nordisk responded with much more agility than Lilly to fulfill the needs of their customers during the covid pandemic. She said Novo Nordisk offered virtual engagements as well as getting the representatives back out into the field with face-to-face interactions as soon as they could. She said that Novo Nordisk’s ability to get the right resources deployed drew her to the company. Kalyn and her husband, who is a state trooper, have been married for 10 years and they have a 2.5-year-old son, Lane. Welcome to Novo Nordisk and South Texas Kalyn!! Kalyn’s initials are KPCE.
