Dear students,
We are writing this letter to remind you good time becomes good memories and bad time
becomes good lessons.
We all know that the pandemic-driven, online teaching was far from ideal, but we tried to
make things work the best we could.You and we faced many challenges: coping with the
effects of the pandemic on our personal lives, on our families and on our well-being.
You have been attending our lectures. We have answered your questions ,marked your
assignments and replied to your emails.
We know that you are stressed so are we. Over the last several months, our class time had
consisted of watching our students on screen with a line over the microphone icon. Talking
to a screen and not seeing what our students were doing . We missed hearing your voices,
chatter and laughs before the start of a class, We missed making you laugh during our
lecture, and we missed all those ‘aha’ moment when we were there.
We are still struggling to keep up with major changes in our daily routines and we wouldn't
be surprised to know that you are struggling, too.
Between us came the 'Learning Gap' because you might have experienced significant
disruptions and distractions.. Unfortunately, these disruptions have led to many students
experiencing learning loss and learning gaps in their education.
As your teacher, we depend on your understanding, maturity, patience and cooperation to
be able to successfully bridge this gap.
