Calvin Austin Fairbanks (a new owner) added a fourth floor in 1867. There is mention that Dr. Colton kept a
room, Room No. 5, to attend patients at the hotel. E.L Woodward purchased the livery property from Fairbanks
in 1872. C.A. Fairbanks leased the Eagle Hotel for a term of years and then sold the property to Lewis Rogers,
former clerk of the “house” in 1874.
