“I object!” yelled Y. “I’m a vowel, too. Why didn’t you include me?”
        “Oh, you’re only a part-time vowel,” sneered O.
        “And what’s this about one-sidedness?” cried C and G. “We have two
      different pronunciations!”
        “And me!” said H. “Sometimes I’m no-sided!”
        So all these letters who felt they had been slighted rallied around and
      formed  a  brand-new  something-or-other.  A  few  of  the  bystanders
      applauded.
















        “Oh, let’s not dig up these old feuds,” said V. “We’re all individuals,
      remember? It’s okay to have differences: what’s important is that we can
      all have fun together.  Let’s see if we can create a not-really-a-word that
      expresses our happiness at having a vacation!”
        At last the letters stopped bickering and started to co-operate. Nine of
      them fell into line behind V.
        “Now, that’s how we feel, isn’t it?” said the participants.
        “Right!” replied the other sixteen letters.
