After  this  demonstration,  several  of  the  letters  began  comparing
      themselves  to  each  other,  looking  for  similarities.  Unfortunately,  this
      brought out some old jealousies.
        “It’s not fair that E should  have three limbs and I have only two,”
      wailed F. “I’m top-heavy, always having to keep my balance, and E just
      stands there, calm and symmetrical.”
        “That’s not my fault, you know,” answered E with a slightly superior
      air. “If you looked like me, you’d be just another E.”
        V, it turned out, bore a grudge against W: “You’re as big as two of me,
      and never have to worry about falling over.” W merely shrugged.
        G tried to placate C, who envied G’s extra-long curve at the bottom:
      “See, it doesn’t really do much for my appearance; you’ve got a much
      cleaner line.”
