After his son finished shouting,
Father saw no point in doubting
That Walt was truly committed,
And his plan could be permitted.

He replied, “We’re with you, Sonny:
You can count on us for money;
I’ll help you arrange the shipment
And assemble new equipment.”

Mother said, “Please ask me to show
You what goes into pasta dough;
If you can build it, I’ll use it—
Once it’s cooked, you won’t refuse it.”

Then she smiled, adding wittily,
“When you hate food from Italy,
No more will you sit and doodle:
You can use your Yankee noodle.”
