Dragon: Drop that Icon!
“And now you have no way to save your position?” she asked,
when he had finished. “Nothing to prevent disaster from befalling
you because of this dragon’s theft of church icons?”
“That is correct, I’m afraid. I have already lost a considerable
amount of respect.”
She stood up and approached his desk. “Then let me make a
proposal, Uncle Fyodor: if I find a way to recover those icons and
stop the dragon from stealing any more of them, will you allow me to
return to Paris?”
