But why tonight they would risk exposure
By opening up their snug enclosure
Puzzled me—then came a sound like a shot:
Something had landed in the parking lot!
Maybe their supply ship could safely sneak
Through a meteor shower at its peak;
They had watched for it a while—then (I’d guess)
Rushed back to their TV’s and left a mess.
