the middle.
The bridge itself then became for the perplexed quadruped a
stand-in for the entire problem of making a choice based on
preference. As returning to nature and surrendering to domestication
each seemed to zero out in desirability via their positive and negative
attributes, so did choosing one way off the bridge over the other
appear impossible.
But Jorge was as smart—or smarter—than Buridan.
He went over the railing, unimpeded by the cable at its lowest
point.
