Imaginot line
Reports sent back by morals on patrol
May sometimes claim things are under control
Out there along the glandular frontier,
But never that nothing is there to fear.
From dead silence not quite as deep
As dazed or drugged or dreamless sleep,
The lively mind will never shrink:
It’s quiet then enough to think.
Genius
For that one percent of inspiration,
You’ll need a muse to help you write your ode;
The other ninety-nine—perspiration—
Takes something greatly resembling a goad.
