Eddie Puss, unusually self-possessed, led the way. The other two
seemed dazed, unable to find their own path in the lunar glare.
Eddie’s tail was vertical; he limped forcefully down the intersecting
alleyways and footpaths as if he knew the precise coordinates of his
        destination.
Levi Katz kept to the shadows wherever possible—his black cat
instinct would not let him dip into contrasting pools of moonlight.
Billy Bob Cat’s pupils were half-dilated: he had been staring at the
satellite as it approached the zenith. He stumbled along behind
Eddie, keeping a very safe distance from the unpredictably and
        explosively violent calico.
