The interloper came within three feet of Levi’s face and stopped.
He stood sideways to the other cats, giving them the full effect of his
massive profile. He dwarfed Billy Bob, the largest of the three, and
made Levi feel like a kitten.
“I’m Spats,” he spat. “And you are finished. Get out of my alley.
Any questions?”
The bully’s tail switched impatiently, indicating the purely pro
forma nature of his query. His eyes narrowed as his gaze drifted from
Levi to Billy Bob to Eddie His upper lip curled, revealing rather long
and pointed fangs.
