Why are people ALWAYS telling you what to do? What IS their problem? Why can,t they mind their own beeswax? Huh?
There’s your mum ordering you to dismantle the sTiNkY sOcK mOuNtAiN from the corner of your bedroom, your dad warning you to stop picking your nose with your fork at the dinner table, and your teacher telling you to wake up when you were trying to have a little sNoOZE during maths.
But if you think you’ve got it bad with a handful of grown ups on your case all the time, at least you don’t have lOaDs of gods keeping an eye on you, too.
In ancient Rome, they didn’t have just one BiG cHeEsE in the sky – they had a whole bunch of them!
Here are some of the most important:
JuPiTeR was the most important god – he was god of the sky. He was also the god of thunder, so if you’re scared of the rumbly stuff, blame ol' Jupe.

Most of the ancient Roman gods and goddesses were actually ancient Greek gods and goddesses . . . but with sparkly new Roman names.
