Today, a lot of people in Britain give and receive Easter eggs over Easter weekend, whether or not they celebrate any religious festivals.
The Hunt is On!
Easter egg hunts are always exciting. You could ask an adult to hide mini chocolate eggs outside in the garden or in an area of your local park, or even while you are out on a walk. Then see how quickly you can find them – and don’t eat too many on the way!
Make an Easter Suncatcher These pretty Easter suncatchers are easy to
make and look beautiful hanging in the window.
        You will need:
50 cm clear baking parchment Newspaper
Tissue paper in different colours Scissors
PVA glue
Black sugar paper or thin card White pencil
Coloured ribbon or string
1 Lie the clear baking parchment on a table covered with newspaper.
2 Carefully cut out lots of squares or triangles of the coloured tissue paper
and glue them all over the baking parchment so that you have made a collage of colour. Leave to dry.
3 Take the black card or paper and draw some simple Easter shapes on each sheet with the white pencil. You could try an egg, a chick, a flower or a rabbit. 4 Cut out these shapes and then carefully cut out the centre of each one so
that you make a black frame.
5 Stick each frame over the tissue collage. Once dry, cut around the outside
of the frame.
6 Cut a length of ribbon or string to about 25 cm and form a loop, then glue
the ends on to the back of the black frame.
7 They are now ready to hang in the window – watch the sunlight stream in
and see what happens to the patterns it makes in your room!
