easy peasy cheesy pasta
After a busy day, it’s always lovely to have a tasty dinner with family and friends. And dinnertime is even more exciting when you’re sharing something you’ve made yourself!
You will need:
200 g dried pasta (any shape is fine!)
3 tablespoons hard cheese, grated (or more, if you like!)
10 g unsalted butter and/or 1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons of ricotta, double cream or créme fraîche
40-50 g fresh or frozen peas salt and pepper to taste
Bring a large pan of water to the boil and
ask a grown-up to add the pasta. Cook
it for as long as the packet tells you to –
usually about 10-12 minutes. If you are
using frozen peas, add them to the pan
about one minute before your pasta is
finished cooking.
Ask your grown-up to drain out all the water using a colander and pour the pasta back into the pan. If you are using fresh peas, now add them to the drained pasta and stir well to steam them. Then add your grated cheese, butter or oil, either ricotta, double cream or créme fraîche, and salt and pepper, and stir it again. Your easy peasy cheesy pasta is now ready to serve!
