Some things in life are tough. Being eaten by a very aggressive duck, for instance, or falling into a giant vat of ELEPHANT POO. Or having to perform an hour-long dance routine with your head teacher in front of the whole school at assembly.
All terribly hard things to endure. But is there anything tougher than mornings? (Clue: no.)
All that getting up business is simply bArBaRiC! And then there’s brushing your teeth – UgH! Washing your face – aRgH! Getting dressed – OoOoH! Dragging yourself to school on time – NoOoO!
But if you think YoU’vE GoT iT BaD, the Aztecs had a morning tradition that will make your eyes water.
   OUCH!
Couldn´t we just start the day with toast instead?
People began every day not by having a nice bowl of Choco Crispy Puffs . . . but by sTaBbInG themselves in the ears, tongue, thighs or other places we won’t mention with cactus spines!
Well, at least it would wake you up!
