Elsecar Heritage Centre
The historic site will bustle with local actors playing characters and sharing memories to recreate life in South Yorkshire a century ago. Featuring 1904, Leeds-built steam locomotive No.813 and period carriage, visiting especially for the event. A project run by University Campus Barnsley in partnership with Elsecar Heritage Railway.
Performances will last approximately 45 minutes, which includes a 25 minute train journey in a period carriage.
Adults: Standard Class £10, First Class £12.50
Blue Badge Holders/Under 21s/Service Personnel: Standard Class £5, First Class £7.50

Blackadder Goes Forth

In a rare public showing, Barnsley Museums will be screening, Goodbyeee, the iconic last episode of Blackadder Goes Forth, alongside wartime film footage of Barnsley.

Children from St John’s C of E Primary Academy and Keresforth Primary School will be holding a remembrance service and reading the names of the 58 servicemen from Dodworth who lost their lives during the First World War.

Join Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir and other local performers for an evening of music and poetry from The Great War. A project run by University Campus Barnsley in partnership with Elsecar Heritage Railway.
