Pam speaks about leaving a gift in her Will to thank Ashgate for the care they gave to her husband, Duncan
...let your story stay within the heart of Ashgate Hospicecare with an everlasting gift.
“My husband died at the Hospice after battling cancer and Parkinson’s for many years. We did our best to cope by ourselves, but towards the end we needed the support of Ashgate.
I wrote Ashgate into my Will because I wanted to leave something for all they’ve done for us; for the way they looked after Duncan, for all the care they gave me and my family, making those last few weeks easier to cope with, and for all the counselling and aftercare. It’s not just about the services we received, we really felt that all the staff went above and beyond for us. They were wonderful.
It’s a legacy, it’s something that you can leave knowing that you’re going helping somebody when you’ve gone. Although I believe it’s important to give while you’re here as well, this is something you can do very easily and it will make a difference to somebody else who needs hospice care.”
1 in 5 of our patients are cared for thanks to gifts in Wills. A gift could help local people who need hospice care in the future – let your story live on.
Please make time to leave a gift in your Will.
