(The following narrative talks about faith, hope, and love. It
is about the struggles and triumphs of my friend Wilma, who,
in two and a half years, fought the good fight of faith. It is
about the sacrifices and hope of her husband, Perry, who
became the pillar of strength for the whole family during this
challenging time. His love and devotion to his wife touched
the hearts of the people through his regular updates on
social media. It is their love story during the most difficult
season of their life. Through his heart-warming account,
you will see a glimpse of miracles, answered prayers, and
the sustaining love of God. The excerpts about Wilma’s
condition were written by Perry and were used in the
following devotions. In the end, it is still God’s will that
prevailed. It was not the answer that we wanted. We may not
understand the reasons for the many whys, but their life
story reminded us that His ways are higher than ours, and
His thoughts are not ours. Ultimately, everything happens
for His glory and for the greater good. We just have to trust
the unconditional love of the Sovereign God. We must keep
our hope burning, keep our faith enlightened by God’s
Word, and let God’s love rule our hearts and minds in Christ
Jesus our Lord.)
