Reason To Sing
Vian joins me and we climb up the stairs together. We need
bed. Bed and oblivion. We don’t even brush our teeth. It’s still
early evening but I am completely drained. Tired of crying.
Exhausted from the shock. I only want to sleep so I can escape
the scorching pain. So that I can forget this new reality.
Once again, it’s just the two of us. Me and Vian. All alone
in a big bed. I snuggle up and wrap my body around hers. My
little sister is only 8. I must take care of her. We find comfort
together.
Thank God, we still have one another.
