even collapse in shame. But my mother is one of the strongest
women I have ever known. Holding her head up and taking
my hand in hers, she gives a firm squeeze. Like an electrical
current, I feel her pain. It moves right through me. But here
and now, in this moment, what I witness only fuels my love and
compassion for my dear mother. More than any other time, I
feel such a deep love.
Oh, how I wish I had just one single red rose to give to her
myself.
