RECLAIM YOUR DIGITAL GOLD

The statement made by Intel’s CEO is very telling
because it shows where we are and where we could go.
Indeed, semiconductors are now used in almost every
industry;to name a few applications, they can be found in
          manufacturing, stereo equipment, banking,automobiles,
cell phones, mobile devices, and various health-related
          devices.

As you can see, you can put semiconductors in just
about anyproduct that we use daily and get the data you
needto analyze, make adjustments, and make invaluable
decisions. It has the potential to provideus with comfort
and efficiency, as well as to save us money, improve
our health, and even save lives. This proliferation of
innovation is referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT),
but that is a subject for another book.
I decided to write this book becauseall these innovations
contributed to where we are now.

As I watched, our society has been transformed at
such a rapid pace over the last thirty years due to the
penetration and applications of computer science and
technology, as well as the innovations that haveresulted
          from them.

          Today,computers andtechnologyhaveimpacted virtually
everyaspect of our lives, and the rate of change appears
to be lightning fast, with adoption becoming easier and
          easier over time.

There is no doubt that the information age has brought
about some exciting innovations that have greatly
simplified our lives. However, we now live in a society
where we have become completely reliant on these
technological devices and on having information access
          at our fingertips.
