RECLAIM YOUR DIGITAL GOLD

Your online activity leavesa trail of data that can be used
to identify and track you. The information gathered may
include your location, the type of device you’reusing, the
advertisements you’ve clicked on, and even more. That’s
          just the start.
Regardless of the privacy settings in your browser, a
certain amount of information about you will always
be visible to the websites that you visit. For example,
as soon as you connect to the Internet, your Internet
Protocol (IP) address begins broadcasting, which can be
used to determine your general geographic location.

Your browser’s name is also revealed, allowing websites
to determine whether you’re using Mozilla Firefox,
Microsoft Internet Explorer,or GoogleChrome. If you are
using a mobile device (such as a phone, tablet, or laptop)
to access the Internet, it will even display the current
          percentage of battery life.

Other information gleaned from your browser includes
the operating system you’re using, the type of central
processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit
(GPU) you’re using, the screen resolution, and the
          browser plugins you’veinstalled.

YOU’RE NOT BY YOURSELF. YOU ARE
          BEING TRACKED. EVERYONE IS.

Tracking Internet users is almost universally accepted
for web browsers and other Internet-connected devices.
Websites monitor how users interact with their content
to improve user experiences, and advertisers sift through
our data to target us with relevantproducts and services,
          among other things.
