                  he  World Wide  Web  was  designed  with  a
                  “hyperlinked  information  system”  in  mind.  In
            Tessence, it is an on-screen data library that can be
            accessed by clicking on text or images, as you do now.
            The purpose of the Internet hasn’t changed much over the
            years, but how we use it, how businesses and consumers
            interact with it, and the technology that powers it have.
            This chapter will go over the monumental transition from
            Web 1.0 to 3.0 and will take a look at the mysterious Dark
            Web.



            WEB 1.0 IS ALSO REFERRED TO AS “THE
            INTERNET”


            The  Internet  as  we  know it  evolved  from what  is  now
            known as the “read-only web.” Websites’ sole purpose
            was to provide  information,  and  they only  contained
