RECLAIM YOUR DIGITAL GOLD

This version of the Internet emphasizes UGC (user-
generated content), ease of use, interactivity, and
improved system and device compatibility. The end
user’s experience is central to Web 2.0. As a result of
this Web form, communities, collaborations, dialogues,
and social media were formed. Consequently, the vast
majority of today’s Internet users primarily communicate
          via Web 2.0.

Web 2.0 is also known as “the participatory social Web,” as
opposed to the “read-only Web.” Web 2.0 is an improved
and more powerful version of Web 1.0, made possible
by the addition of JavaScript frameworks (collection of
libraries containing code written in JavaScript) and other
          new features in web browsers.

The following are some common Web 2.0 characteristics:

                 ● It offers free data sorting, allowing users to
                 collectively retrieve and categorize information.
                 ● It displays dynamic content in response to user
                 searches.
                 ● Users can interact in a variety of ways, including
                 self-use and collaboration.
                 ● The term “social media” can refer to;
                  ◊ Tagging
                  ◊ Blogging
                  ◊ Commenting
◊ Using RSS (Really Simple Syndication) as a
way to make news, blogs and other content
                      available to subscribers
                  ◊ On-line Networking
                  ◊ Voting on web content
