CHAPTER 14
T
hat night, it was 6:40 p.m., and I was busy learning my math
— not just for the test tomorrow, but also to get my math IQ
level up. I knew I was so bad at math, so after studying for 15
minutes, I also went on my computer and joined the math Zoom class.
I actually learned a lot from the class.
Then the time hit 7:30, and I decided to do a little comedy practice.
I know my parents said no to it, but if they wanted me to please them
on Wednesday, I’d have to practice.
When it was 8, I knew I had to sleep, so I quickly put my pajamas
on and went to bed. As soon as I hopped on it, I closed my eyes and
went to sleep like a drowsy child.
The next day was the day I was writing my test — my math test. I
woke up, prayed for hope and success, and got ready for school. When
I went downstairs, only Aaron was there.
“Where are Mom and Dad?” I asked, sitting down.
“They went out early this morning. Never told me where,” Aaron
said in an odd mood.
“What’s with the face?” I asked, grabbing the leftover pancake on
the table.
“Nothing.” He looked at me. “But I did hear you were auditioning
in a comedy club?”
