CHAPTER 15
I
don’t know if I should believe what he just said, because
sometimes Aaron lies just to bring my hopes up. But I know when
he’s actually telling the truth — and as for now, he’s 50% telling
the truth. So I just hugged him and smiled softly.
“Thanks. Those words will definitely be in my head as I write the
test.”
He wrapped his arms around me like Mom does and squeezed until
I coughed. “As a big brother, I can’t let you fail a test like this. You can
do it.”
I entered the school and went to my first class, Science.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t so hard today. Normally, the teacher would talk
about something I wouldn’t understand, and I’d pay less attention
because I couldn’t focus well.
But not this time — I could understand the lesson better and did
my work assignment with no issues.
However, things started to change when science class ended for
the first break, and I had to go to Mrs. Stanley’s class for the math test.
Even though my brother put some hopeful words in my mind, I had a
40% bad-luck chance of passing the test. But that didn’t stop me. I still
went up to Mrs. Stanley’s desk and saw her cleaning the board.
“Good morning, Mrs. Stanley.”
